The Story of Janet’s Eatery…
The restaurant began out of Janet’s heart to serve people as if they were coming to her home to have a meal as family. Growing up she admired her mother and father as they worked in the kitchen to prepare delicious home-cooked meals for their family and friends. She would sit on the counter for hours learning everything she could about southern cuisine.
In 2001, Janet started out by taking over an existing bakery (The Donut Shoppe) on Hwy. 14 in Greer. Within a couple of years and tons of hard work, the Donut Shoppe thrived into a big success. Because of this great success, she decided to open Janet’s Eatery in June 2003, also in Greer. Janet’s Eatery was truly her heart’s desire. The relationships she had built through the bakery generated an even greater following when she opened the Eatery. She sold The Donut Shoppe in April of 2004 and set her focus on building her dream.
The last 4 years have been a huge success for Janet’s Eatery. Janet’s desire to create a place where people can feel at home is being achieved by wonderful customer’s like you. Every evening you can find her still there after everyone has gone home, cooking, baking, and praying for the next day.
